Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data?

EngineDesk is operated by Diogo Martins, an independent developer based in Portugal, providing the EngineDesk service to workshops internationally.

For questions about this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data, you can contact us at:

privacy@engine-desk.com

We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What information do we collect?

When you join the EngineDesk early-access list, we collect:

  • your email address;
  • the date and time at which your consent was provided;
  • the version of the consent wording that you accepted.

We intentionally limit the information collected at this stage to what is necessary for the early-access programme.

3. Why do we use your email address?

We use your email address to:

  • notify you when EngineDesk becomes available;
  • provide information about the EngineDesk early-access programme;
  • provide information about the early-user offer associated with the programme.

We do not use your email address for unrelated purposes.

4. Legal basis

Where consent is requested, the legal basis for processing your email address for launch and early-access communications is your consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. How long do we keep your information?

We keep your email address while it is reasonably necessary for the EngineDesk early-access programme or until you withdraw your consent, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

When your information is no longer required, it will be deleted or anonymised.

6. Who can access your information?

Your information is processed using infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, which we use to host the website, protect the signup form and store the early-access database.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where third-party service providers process personal data on our behalf, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the processing complies with applicable data-protection requirements.

7. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.

Where applicable, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers as required by applicable data-protection law.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. As the controller is based in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) is the lead supervisory authority, but you are not restricted to contacting the CNPD if you reside elsewhere.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies, limited to what is necessary to operate this website:

  • ed_lang (first-party, up to 1 year): remembers whether you chose to view this website in English or Portuguese. It is set only when you use the language switcher, or once automatically based on your browser's language setting.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (third-party, set by challenges.cloudflare.com): verifies that early-access signups are submitted by a human rather than automated software, protecting the signup form from abuse.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website and the early-access form to function, and are not used for advertising, analytics or tracking. Because of this, we do not display a cookie consent banner for them, in line with applicable e-Privacy rules on cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have requested.

If we introduce analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this section and request your consent before those cookies are set.

10. Contact

For any request concerning your personal data, contact:

privacy@engine-desk.com

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes to EngineDesk, our processing activities or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will always be published on this page.
